As women we all go through the menopause, but this natural process comes with a range of potential side effects such as night sweats, hot flushes, anxiety, low self esteem, memory loss and migraines. Sadly many GP's are not equipped to give advice on menopause and many women are left struggling for years. Often the only solution offered is HRT. Furthermore as hormones change we are left more at risk from osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease.
This workshop will cover solutions from a herbal, nutritional and exercise perspective. I've teamed up with Herbalist Rasheequa from Hedge Herbs who will be giving you a detailed understanding of herbs you can take to potentially help your symptoms and balance hormones. Remember herbs have been used for 1000's of years to help female health... way longer then pharmaceutical medicine! Let's look at the body holistically and take control of our health with nature and exercise.
Why am I running this workshop?
I have always been interested in and used natural alternatives for my own health care. When I was depressed I took herbs, lack of energy I took herbs, skin care I took herbs... they are my go to medicine for chronic illness and optimal health.
I'm not menopausal... (yet!) but for years I struggled with female health problems. I went to seek advice and support from about 20 GP's and specialists none of which could help or were even sympathetic. It lead me to take the natural route. I made many lifestyle and nutritional changes but still wasn't getting results. I discovered Rasheeqa in 2019 and took a course of herbs which not only regulated my cycle from 21 days to 28 but in 3 months got rid of a 4 cm ovarian cyst! As well as herbs that gave me mental heath support at the time when my father suddenly passed away. Since then herbs have made a dramatic difference to my female health and wellbeing. I think through the wonderful use of zoom and sharing knowledge we can help those wishing to improve female health in a positive direction.
